The Problem

Challenges in CSR implementation

Good intentions don't automatically become good evidence. Across programmes and geographies, three gaps consistently stand between CSR investment and credible, usable insight.

01

Learning gaps in field teams

Field investigators and supervisors often lack structured, practice-based training in ethical and evaluative research, limiting their ability to capture nuanced data and respond sensitively to diverse field contexts.

02

Data blind spots in evaluation

Many CSR programmes operate without timely and reliable data feedback, leading to delays in analysis, limited course correction, and reduced use of evidence during implementation.

03

Constraints in scaling impact reporting

In the absence of robust and adaptable MIS and reporting systems, insights from evaluations and pilots remain fragmented, making it difficult to scale, replicate, or institutionalise impact reporting across programmes and geographies.

Core CSR Framework

Three pillars. One evidence chain.

From the first field interview to the final board-ready report, every stage is designed to protect data integrity and produce insight you can act on.

Straight answers on scope, methods and how an engagement with OCF India begins.

Ask us something else

What does OCF India do?

OCF India strengthens how CSR programmes are understood, evaluated, and reported. We provide CSR research, evaluation and reporting services, M&E and MIS design, technical advisory support, and hands-on learning programmes for field research teams — all grounded in field realities and a data-first approach.

Who does OCF India work with?

We work with corporate CSR teams, foundations, implementing partners and programme teams that need credible evidence on how their CSR programmes are performing, and with organisations that want to strengthen the field and analytical capacity of their own research teams.

What types of CSR evaluation studies does OCF India conduct?

We design and deliver baseline, midline, endline and impact assessment studies, with pan-India field data collection, data analysis and CSR-aligned report writing. We also carry out independent third-party review and validation of reports prepared by partners or consultants.

Does OCF India provide training for field research teams?

Yes. We run two focused learning tracks: a Field Practice Learning Track for field investigators and supervisors, covering sampling, interviewing, FGDs and KIIs, quality control, ethics and CAPI tools; and an Analysis & Reporting Learning Track for analysts and M&E professionals, covering MIS thinking, analysis aligned to logframes, DAC criteria and SDGs, dashboards and reporting.

Which frameworks and tools does OCF India use?

Our analysis is aligned to logframes, OECD DAC evaluation criteria and the Sustainable Development Goals. Field data collection uses CAPI tools such as ODK and KoBoToolbox, with GPS tagging, real-time monitoring, spot-checks and back-checks for data quality.

Where does OCF India operate?

OCF India works across India, shaping pan-India partnerships for field data collection and delivering research, evaluation and reporting at scale.
